About the seminar. . .
A lot has changed in fastpitch softball since 1987 when National Sports Clinics began conducting coaches clinics throughout the United States. In 20-plus years, the opportunities for girls and young women to participate in our sport have grown in many ways. One of the areas that has experienced the greatest growth is collegiate athletics. The number of junior colleges, colleges and universities that include softball in their athletic departments has grown dramatically. As a result, thousands of young women have been able to compete beyond high school and, in many cases, receive significant financial assistance in working toward their educational goals in the form of athletic scholarships.
Still, there are many student-athletes, parents and travel team and high school coaches who are unfamiliar with the recruiting process and how it works. This seminar is designed to change that! It will feature softball coaches from NCAA and NAIA schools and they will offer information to provide you with a better understanding of the entire recruiting process. They will discuss how to find a good fit for a student-athlete, the rules and guidelines pertaining to recruiting, what student-athletes can do to "get seen", mistakes student-athletes, parents and coaches make and more.
If you are a student-athlete, or the parent or coach of a student-athlete, interested in getting recruited to play softball at the college level, join us Jan. 26 and learn how to get started and carry through with the process.
